Name of Scientific / Technical Leader: Dr Robin Munro, Ph.D.

Key individuals: Dr Robin Munro Director, Translational Medicine Solutions, is responsible for the direction of the IDBS Translational Medicine Solution. He has over 15 years of experience in bioinformatics and extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, especially translational medicine. Before he joined IDBS he led teams to develop bioinformatics solutions for expression analysis, target tracking, protein and pathway interactions at companies such as LION bioscience and InforSense (now part of IDBS). He was involved in the early collaboration with J&J on translational informatics platform, which directly led to the development of tranSMART system. Robin holds a Computational Biochemistry Ph.D. from University College London and a M.Sc. in Biological Computation from York University.

Role in/ Contribution to the Consortium: IDBS will lead WP3, participate in WP2, 4 and 6, and provide input on translational medicine metrikset needs, commercial software development processes to support regulated environments, know-how in interfacing with commercial LIMS and ELN; Provision of training, on-site deployment and support services.
